Review of Stansted LodgeI recently had the opportunity to stay at Stansted Lodge for a family vacation, marking a long-awaited getaway filled with expectations. The location proved to be convenient, just a 10-minute drive from the airport, making it a practical choice for travelers. We appreciated the opportunity to safely store our bags while exploring the quiet village, which provided a pleasant backdrop for leisurely walks. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by several issues. While the room was adequately sized, we encountered discomfort with the mattresses, as well as disturbances from noise in the hallway. We were disappointed to find stained towels upon our arrival. Our shower head handle had broken, but the receptionist promptly arranged a room change. On a brighter note, our stay allowed us to enjoy nearby attractions like Hatfield Forest during our walks, where my children delighted in the expansive nature, and Bishop's Stortford Golf Club provided a lovely outing for my husband. The absence of on-site dining options meant we had to walk a fair distance to find meals, which may be challenging for families with young children. While Stansted Lodge offered some family-friendly opportunities, several considerations must be addressed for a more comfortable experience.
